PTO starts this Tuesday, September 5th!
Youth Traveling tryouts will be held Sept 26 - Oct 1. Specific times for each level will be communicated closer to the starting date as registration numbers are finalized. Please note, it is important for families to register by Sept 5th so as not to miss out on any PTO sessions. PTO camp is included with registration but families MUST complete registration prior to any player stepping on the ice for any PTO sessions. Girls tryouts are hosted by Champlin this year. Tryouts for the girls teams will be held Sept 23rd - Sept 30th. Specific times are posted on the website HERE |

Parent Meetings |

Parent meetings will be held during the Open House event on Sunday, September 10th for all traveling level families (10U/Squirts & Older). Meetings will take place during your player’s PTO time in the party room at CRIC. Please do your best to have at least one parent in attendance for this meeting.

Locker Room Monitors |
|
DIBS will be available soon for locker room monitors during tryouts. Please make sure to get your Safesport and Background Screening done prior to tryouts if you plan to volunteer. These are required before anyone ages 18 and older are permitted to enter the locker rooms. This policy will be strictly enforced by District 10 so it is very important that everyone adheres to this. |
Season Kick Off Party! |

Don’t forget, CRYHA’s season kick off party will be on Sunday, September 10th from noon to 5pm at CRIC. Grilled hot dogs, chips, and beverages will be provided from approximately 2-5pm. There will also be a silent auction with lots of great items to bid on.
During this event we will have jerseys available to try on for those needing to order replacements and for first year squirts/U10s. Jerseys are paid for by the association for 1st year Squirts and 10U players only. Any other players needing to order jerseys are responsible for payment at the time the order is placed. Jersey number requests will be taken starting at 2:00pm.
Bring your street hockey sticks if you’d like to play on the outdoor rink! Families are also welcome to bring a folding chair if they’d like to hang outside.
Volunteer deposit checks should be turned in during this event. Checks should be written out to CRYHA for the amount of $500 and post dated for April 1, 2024. A check is REQUIRED for all traveling level players PRIOR to tryouts. Any player without a check turned in will not be allowed to participate in tryouts. |

Jersey Orders
Please visit the website HERE if you have an EXISTING traveling Jersey that needs to be replaced with a new size. As a reminder, your first jersey was provided by the association and all replacement sets (1 home and 1 away) need to be paid for by the player. $120 Complete the payment online after submitting the form by using the links on the website. The links are also provided below. *Your order will not be placed until payment is received. We will also be taking orders during the season kick off open house on September 10th. If you would like to inquire about changing your jersey number for the season please email Jessica Ables for details. jessicaables@cryha.com

DIBS |

Lots of DIBS are still available and new ones have been added! DIBS are volunteer hours required by each family with a traveling aged player (Squirts/10U & Older). Each family is required to complete 4 DIBS credit hours this season. Failure to complete all volunteer hours by the end of the season, will result in your volunteer check being cashed.

Junior Cardinal Camp (JCC) |

Pace Puck Fundraiser |

This year, we are teaming up with Pace Puck to offer a one-of-a-kind fundraising drive. Pace Puck manufactures super fast dry land pucks made from beautiful hardwoods and then engraved with the CRYHA or CPCR logo, player's name, and jersey #. Coon Rapids Youth Hockey Association will receive a portion of the proceeds back per Puck sold for our scholarship fund! Visit Coon Rapids Youth Hockey – Pace Puck to order your custom engraved puck. Orders placed by 5:00 on September 9th will be available at the preseason kick-off for pickup. |
Scholarship Funds |
|
Scholarship funds are available to assist families with the cost of registration. Families who qualify for Educational Benefits with their school district (formerly known as free/reduced lunch) may submit a scholarship application along with a copy of their educational benefits documentation. Anoka-Hennepin Application for Educational Benefits Families may also access scholarship funds due to other extenuating circumstances. Please review the full Financial Assistance Policy and application for details. A PDF is attached below. The deadline to apply for scholarship funds is October 1, 2023 for Traveling and November 5, 2023 for Mites/8U. However, we understand that extenuating circumstances may come up at any time and families may always reach out to a member of the Executive Board to inquire about available scholarship funds.
