Snowflake Days Hockey Game |
|
Sunday, January 28th is the 1st Annual Guns vs. Hoses Hockey Game in partnership with the MN Blue Ox Jr. A' Hockey Club. The Coon Rapids Police Department will play the Coon Rapids MN Fire Department for the 1st Snowflake Days Cup! Please join us at Coon Rapids Ice Center & Recreation on Sunday, January 28th at 12:30 PM to watch these two departments battle it out for department bragging rights. The MN Blue Ox will divide the two departments among two teams and provide goalies for game day. There will be Chuck-a-Puck and give-a-ways for fans! Tickets are $5 at the door and free-will donations will be accepted with all proceeds benefiting the Coon Rapids Community Strength Foundation. We are looking for two volunteers to help with running the penalty box. DIBS will be posted soon! Hope to see you there! |

Cold Weather Policy |

Please review the city of Coon Rapids’ Cold Weather Policy:
“The outdoor ice rink at Coon Rapids Ice Center will close if the air temperature reaches -5 or the wind chill reaches -20.
An optional closure will be offered if the air temperature is below zero or -10 wind chill. In this event, if any players skate, payment for ice time will be due.
Scheduled ice will require payment if temperatures are above zero or -10 wind chill regardless if players skate or not.”
Please note, any decisions to cancel a practice will be communicated by your team manager or coach ASAP. If you ever have concerns about your child attending a practice outdoors that is not canceled, please know that each family is encouraged to make a decision that is best for their child. Please direct any questions to your team manager or coach. |
