Good Evening CRYHA Families! We have a lot in store for our players this summer and fall and are busy preparing for the 22-23 season! Please take a moment to read through this newsletter and reach out to a board member if you have any questions. 

Youth Traveling Summer Training Program (STP)

For our incoming squirts (players with a birthdate of June 1, 2011 to May 31, 2013), returning youth traveling players, and advanced mites (played at the A or B level during 21-22 season) we are excited to be partnering with the Individual Skills staff! This program will focus on continuing to build upon foundational skills with an emphasis on overall skating and stick skills. 

Advanced mites are invited to register for either or both the Youth Traveling STP or the Mite STP.

Mite Summer Training Program (STP)

This camp is for all of our returning mite players. Each session will include ½ hour of drills & fundamentals and ½ hour of scrimmaging & fun games.

Open Board Positions

We have two openings on our board and are seeking committed volunteers to fill these roles. If you are interested in the Mite Director or Volunteer & Fundraising Coordinator position, please email daveschmidt@cryha.com or jessicaables@cryha.com and attend the next board meeting. The next meeting will take place on Sunday, May 22nd at 7pm at the Coon Rapids Ice Center.

CRYHA is looking for sponsors for the 2022-2023 season!

As a sponsor of the Coon Rapids Youth Hockey Association (CRYHA), you help us achieve our mission to make hockey affordable for all of our members. Through your support, we are able to provide our youth players with a rewarding experience, including a chance to play a sport that builds self-confidence and teaches the value of teamwork. We really couldn’t do it without your financial contributions!

Many of our sponsors are obtained via word of mouth and personal requests from CRYHA families. If you know someone who may be interested in sponsoring please share this information with them! Little Wild Learn to Play Program!

Registration opens tomorrow and space is limited! This is an amazing opportunity for brand new mites ages 5-8 who are interested in playing hockey. All participants will receive four one-hour on-ice sessions led by the Minnesota Hockey ADM team and a full set of CCM hockey equipment. Kids who do not have skating experience are strongly encouraged to take skating lessons prior to their first Little Wild on-ice session.

All participants will be invited to attend a pre-season Wild game at Xcel Energy Center for the 2022-2023 season. Little Wild participants will each receive a FREE ticket to the game and have the option to purchase additional tickets through a special ticket offer.
