Memorial

It is with a deeply heavy heart that we share the loss of one of our own at CRYHA, Alex Martin Heine-Zacharias. We are privileged to have welcomed him into the Coon Rapids Youth Hockey community where he shared his love of ice and the game as a D Mite for a season - one passion among many in his joyful life. His enthusiasm for hockey was evident to his teammates and coaches alike, and those who knew him as a Mite are already feeling his loss on the ice.

We are completely devastated for his family. Alex fought a valiant battle with T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma, and we would like to share the words lovingly written in his online memorial:

"Let us honor Alex's memory by living with the same zest, bravery, and love that he embodied every day of his remarkable life."

The outdoor ice rink at Coon Rapids Ice Center will close if the air temperature reaches zero or the wind chill reaches -15.

An optional closure will be offered if the air temperature is below 5 or -5 wind chill. In this event, if any players skate, payment for ice time will be due.

Scheduled ice will require payment if temperatures are above zero or -5 wind chill regardless if players skate or not.
